Wellbeing Classes Available
Thee Mulberry Centre offers a range of movement therapies, after an assessment we may offer clients a number of sessions. All the wellbeing classes are free and offered to help you increase gentle activity. Regular participation can bring many benefits including:
- Help reduce stress and increase energy
- Boost self-esteem and confidence
- Instill calmness, relaxation and help clear a busy mind
- Release physical and mental tension
- Improve flexibility, balance, co-ordination
- Enhance wellbeing
- Deepen sleep
We currently offer Wellbeing Classes for patients and carers. All classes are held in the Mulberry Room.
You will be guided through the class according to your ability and any equipment will be provided. You need to wear loose comfortable clothing. Before attending the sessions you will be assessed for suitability by the class teacher so please arrive to your first session 15 minutes early and in good time for future classes to avoid disruption.

Yoga therapy is a type of therapy that uses yoga postures, breathing exercises, medication and guided imagery to improve mental and physical health. The focus of yoga therapy encourages the integration of mind, body and spirit. There are various forms of yoga here at The Mulberry Centre with different tutors using different focus and techniques.
Tai Chi is a mind-body practice that involves a series of slow, flowing exercises that combine movement mediation and rhythmic breathing. Although it was initially developed as a martial art it is commonly practiced as a form of moving medication.
Dance of the Heart
Based on Biodanzathis is a wonderful yet gentle expressive dance meditation. It helps create a space where you can relax and be in your body. Dance of the Heart is an uplifting blend of free expression dance with some relaxing moving mediation. There are no steps to learn and no previous dance experience is required.
