The Mulberry Centre has a small team of paid staff who are involved in all aspects of the delivery of our services. Our counselling and therapies and group activities are delivered by a wonderful team of volunteers who are led by part−time Consultants. We also have strong governance with a Trustee body of 10 who bring a wide range of expertise and skills (health, accountancy, legal, fundraising, business, community).
Raj is responsible for overall management of The Mulberry Centre and leadership of the team of staff and volunteers. Key responsibilities are: strategic direction of the charity; developing and implementing service enhancements; fundraising and promotional strategy; staff recruitment; development and building relationships with stakeholders.
Mulberry Macmillan Cancer Information and Support Services Manager (MMCISSM)
Shefali is responsible for the delivery of our comprehensive support and information programme and ensuring consistent high-quality delivery to anyone affected by cancer. Shefali oversees the delivery and development of all our client support services by managing a team of five . She ensures that our projects meet the needs of the people we serve, are delivered safely and effectively, and meet all relevant legislative and safeguarding requirements.
Shefali also works closely with the Executive Director to raise the Mulberry Centre’s profile through community engagement and awareness about the signs and symptoms of different types of cancer and ways in which people can adopt preventive measures.
Finance and Operations Manager
Angie is responsible for the financial and operational management of the Centre, overseeing among others the Reception, estates & facilities and IT systems. Her financial role involves ensuring the financial records are up to date and providing key reports to The Board of Trustees and the Fundraising Team.
Fundraising and Communications Manager (interim)
The Fundraising and Communications Manager will develop and deliver an integrated and effective fundraising and communications strategy to grow income and to raise our profile in the community. They will be responsible for making grant applications, working with companies and individuals to maximise fundraised income as well as ensuring effective communication to raise awareness.
Marketing and Communications Officer
The Direct Marketing and Communications Officer will work closely with the Fundraising and Communications Manager to provide effective communications to increase income and raise our profile.

Cancer Information and Support Assistant
Along with Shefali, the CISA supports the Cancer Information and Support Manager to provide a comprehensive holistic cancer information and support service within The Mulberry Centre to meet the needs of cancer patients, carers and those bereaved as a result of cancer.
Mulberry Macmillan Volunteer Lead and Challenge Events Officer
Jo is responsible for all aspects of volunteering at The Mulberry Centre, including the co-ordination, recruitment, induction, support and training of volunteers, adhering to the Centre’s volunteering policies. Jo matches the skills and availability of volunteers to the roles available and supports and monitors the impact of volunteering on the Centre’s activities.
Jo oversees and recruits fundraisers to participate in Challenge Events
Santosh Chohan and Jas Toor
Santosh and Jas provide day−to−day administrative support for The Mulberry Centre’s services, including taking telephone calls, dealing with queries, booking appointments, maintaining the client databases and producing reports.
Complementary Therapies Lead
Nisha has responsibility for running the complementary therapy services in accordance with the Centre’s guidelines. She provides guidance and professional support for all our volunteer therapists in order to ensure that the Centre’s high reputation for these services is maintained.
Counselling Lead and Supervisor
Jason leads the counselling services in accordance with the Centre’s guidelines. He provides guidance and professional support for all our volunteer counsellors in order to ensure that the Centre’s high reputation for these services is maintained.
He has responsibility for offering supervision to the counsellors; a reflective space for the counsellors to develop professionally and personally and to support their management of complex situation in their counselling work.
