What does TMC offer its Volunteers?
The Mulberry Centre recognises the important contribution that volunteers make to the centre and provides a supportive environment to them. Volunteers are considered to be an integral part of the team.
What does TMC ask from its Volunteers?
If you join the team at TMC, we would hope you can offer a commitment of a minimum of six months but preferably a year.
Most roles require commitment to a regular day/half day, be it weekly, alternate weeks or monthly
Attendance at professional development sessions
Attendance at peer group meetings
Volunteers are expected to abide by centre policies and the induction pack will contain those key to your role.
Criminal Records Disclosure will need to be applied for by TMC – an application form will be provided.
The centre welcomes applications from male and female volunteers, from any ethnicity or cultural background, who are over the age of 18.
However, the centre will not recruit volunteers who are currently or recently (within the last two years) affected by cancer, either as a patient, carer or family member, or who have been bereaved during the last two years.

APPLICATION PROCESS:
If, after having read the Role Description you feel you meet the criteria
described, please complete the application form and return it to:

On receipt of the completed application form the centre will request references from your nominated referees – preferably from a professional background, i.e. not family members or friends.
If you meet the criteria you will be invited for interview.
You will then be contacted advising you of the outcome of your application and, if successful, you will be invited to arrange a convenient date for induction.
The offer of a role will be subject to satisfactory references, CRB check and Occupational Health clearance.
