What we do

The Mulberry Centre is a drop-in centre for anyone affected by a diagnosis of cancer to visit for information and support. It provides a holistic approach within a non-medical and welcoming environment.

Based at the West Middlesex University Hospital in Isleworth but funded entirely from charitable donations, the centre was established in 2001 and became an independent charity in 2005.

In such a diverse part of West London, The Mulberry Centre receives visitors from a wide variety of ethnic backgrounds and supports both men and women of all ages. Although most visitors come from local boroughs, The Mulberry Centre is open to all, regardless of postcode or area.

One in three people are likely to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. The Mulberry Centre seeks to provide services specifically for those either diagnosed with cancer within the past 2 years, the primary carer of the cancer patient, or someone recently bereaved through cancer. The services available include the following:

  • Counselling
  • Support Groups
  • Complementary Therapies: Reflexology, Massage, Aromatherapy or Shiatsu
  • Relaxation Therapies: Meditation, Yoga, or T’ai Chi
  • Welfare Rights and Money Advice
  • Extensive Library

Outside of the criteria mentioned above, anybody at all is welcome to use the library or meet with the Macmillan Information Officer. This includes teachers, colleagues and health professionals, who all utilise the resources of the Centre.

Please see how we can help/ access services for more information.
