GSK LOCAL Health Awards 2007
Pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline has awarded The Mulberry Centre one of its prestigious LOCAL Health Awards for the second time. The Mulberry Centre is one of five charities which have been recognised for their excellence in community health care within Hounslow. The award, which carries a grant of £5,000, was presented to The Mulberry Centre team on 1st November at a ceremony held at GSK’s Brentford’s HQ.
Centre Director Claire James said ‘winning a prestigious GlaxoSmithKline LOCAL Health Award in 2003 was a huge landmark for The Mulberry Centre. The kudos that attaches itself to the award has been of enormous value in terms of our self worth and how the Centre is perceived by others. To win such an award for a second time further enhances our reputation as a centre of excellence within the community and recognises our ongoing efforts in the support of all people affected by a diagnosis of cancer. Thank you GlaxoSmithKline for this and for your continuing support of The Centre’.
